After winning American Idol, Noah Thompson will perform for the FIRST TIME at The Great New York State Fair.

In May, New Yorkers chose him as the winner of American Idol. They can now support him three months later because his performance is at the Great New York State Fair.

Noah Thompson, a rising country music star, will perform at Chevy Court on September 4 at 2 p.m.

Thompson, a Kentucky native, won the 20th season of American Idol on May 22 with 16 million votes.

Throughout the season, the 20-year-old swept over America with performances like "Stay," "Falling," and "Landslide."

Another memorable season moment was when he performed a duet with Melissa Etheridge on one of her most popular songs, "I'm the Only One."

Thompson was awarded the prize and the public was shown his song, "One Day Tonight," which immediately climbed to the top of the iTunes All Genres and Country charts.

Before American Idol, the rising star worked in construction, singing with his coworkers while they built houses - all while caring for his infant son, Walker.

"The majority of New Yorkers, as well as fairgoers, can be inspired by Noah Thompson's story."

"We're thrilled to have him perform on our stage just days after being named by one of the world's biggest singing competitions," interim Fair Director Sean Hennessey said.

Noah is a promising star in the making, and viewers who tune in on September 4th will be able to confirm that they saw him when.

When you purchase Fair admission, you will receive free admission to all Chevrolet Music Series performances. Tickets are only $3 and can be purchased on the State Fair's website right now.
